Treatment to Jellyfish Stings

These tips are for when a jellyfish stings you and the tentacles get stuck to your skin.
  1. Rinse the tentacles off with salt water. Don't you fresh water, it will make the sting pain worse.

  2. Remove any remaining tentacles with gloves or tweezers.

  3. Watch for a severe allergic reaction, these reactions come from the poison on the tentacles.

  4. Use vinegar to neutralize the toxic sting.

Some tips not to use.

1. Some people use urine to relieve the pain, it does but it doesn't neutralize the venom. Always use vinegar.

2. The most deadly jellyfish is the box jellyfish from Australia. Use vinegar definitely for this species.

In the picture here, you can still see the tentacle marks from the jellyfish sting.
